Today I have another April Showers Challenge post for you! I've been thinking about this glitter/jelly sandwich mani for a while, ever since I started the challenge actually! :P I love doing these kind of nails but I don't own many jelly polishes. However, I found one I liked that I thought was spring appropriate and I went to work...
I decided that for this challenge I wanted to use flakies instead of glitter. That still counts as a glitter sammy doesn't it? :P
For these nails I used two coats of OPI Guy Meets Gal-Veston as a base, this is one of OPI's sorbet polishes from the Texas collection and it's such a beautiful colour :) I then layered one coat of the White Snowman Polish, which is a dupe of China Glaze Snowglobe. Followed by one coat of Essie Shine Of The Times. I then topped it all off with one more coat of Guy Meets Gal-Veston.
I really love how squishy and bright these nails look :) I think I'll be doing a lot of jelly/glitter sandwiches in the coming warmer months :)
Do you like jelly/glitter sandwich nails? What polishes do you use? let me know in the comments :)
Thanks for reading :)

I love that you went with a flakie instead, adds more depth to the mani. I don't know if I own any jellies or really what classifies as a "jelly" polish LOL
ReplyDeleteOhh great idea on the flakies! I love it
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! I love how multi dimensional this looks with the flakies sandwiched!
