Fall Into Autumn Challenge - Autumn Leaves & Pumpkins

Hello everyone!
Sorry again for the lack of posting. My uni timetable is absolutly crazy at the minute and I feel so bad for not posting too often, I think I'll start scheduling some posts so that I actually get some posts up for you all :) Anyway, today I have two themes from the Fall Into Autumn Challenge to show off!

First up is Autumn Leaves, now this idea looked so much better in my head and it turned out absolutely awful. I'm actually quite embarrassed to show you all but maybe it'll help me learn :P
For these nails I knew I wouldn't be able to paint little tiny leaves on my nails so i thought I'd base my nail art around the colours of autumn leaves instead.
From top to bottom I used - Three coats of Jesse's Girl Beauty Guru, Two Coats of China Glaze Riveting, Two coats of OPI Chopsticking To My Story & Three coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon. I then dipped the tip of each nail into a pot of glitter from KKCentreHK.

The next theme I have to show you all is Pumpkins. I had great fun creating this nail art. Here's how it turned out...
For these nails I used three coats of China Glaze Riveting for the base on all nails, I the used Revlon Lunar and a small nail art brush to create the faces and OPI Who The Shrek Are You? for the stalks.
I really love how these came out. I knew when I saw pumpkins on the challenge list that I wanted to create them as tips and have some really cute little faces on them.
I hope everyone had a really nice Halloween yesterday!

Fall Into Autumn Challenge - Football

Hello everyone!
Today I have another post from the Fall Into Autumn Challenge, I'm slowly but surely catching up with the other ladies who are taking part. I'm also looking forward to some of the other upcoming posts I have planned for you all.
I really struggled with this theme as most of the ladies taking part are American so their interpretation is a lot different to ours. I really didn;t feel like attempting any fancy nail art to create a football teams badge or anything so I took the colours and patterns and came up with something I like...
For these nails I used three coats of Sweet color #232 on all my nails except the accent nail, which was 3 coats of W7 Salt N Pepper. I then added two coats of Lynnderella Connect The Dots over all the green nails.
My idea behind these nails was to take the green of the football pitch and the black and white colours of a football and combine them together. I think these ideas worked quite well together and I really enjoy the overall look they created on my nails.
Overall, this challenge was quite difficult but once I had came up with an idea I was very pleased with the end result :) I would have loved to have freehanded some footballs onto my nails but I know it would have turned out looking awful :P I can't wait for you all to see what I have in store for you in the coming days and weeks :)

Fall Into Autumn Challenge - Cloudy Days

Hello everyone!
Today I have another post from the Fall Into Autumn Challenge for you all, there's only one more after this one then I'm all caught up! :) So the theme for this post was cloudy days. Now we all know how much I love doing cloud mani's, so I thought I'd try out a different colour scheme for this one...
Autumn in the UK usually makes me think of dark mornings and dark evenings, where the sky is a deep inky blue, the clouds are dark grey and the weather is cold. I wanted to portray this in my nail art.
I used two coats of OPI Ink Suede for the base on all nails, I felt that this polish recreated the colour of an Autumn sky perfectly for me. I then added two coats of Barielle Platinum Ring to create the first cloud shapes. I then added two coats of OPI Russian Navy Matte to the top to create the final cloud shapes. I then added one coat of Barielle Starry Sky on my ring finger to create the look of stars.
I really enjoyed doing these nails, it took me a while to settle on a colour combination as I had such a specific idea in my head :P But I think it turned out really pretty, this would also work well as a winter based mani as the glitter on the accent nail kind of looks like snow :P It's just so beautiful!

Fall Into Autumn Challenge - School Spirit

Hello everyone!
I'm pretty far behind in the Fall Into Autumn Challenge because of university so it's time I caught up, they'll be a few posts over the next few days from me :P

So the theme for this post was School Spirit. I really struggled with this one as schools in the UK aren't like the ones in America. We don't really have huge turn outs at football games or pride in our schools even. So obviously my only choice was to do something based around my university. My universitys official colours are white and red, our mascot is a kind of tiger/dragon thing that I didn't really want to attempt on my nails. So here's what I came up with...
I decided to do white and red nails to honour my schools colours and I added some blue in there too, as one of the buildings I have lectures in is a beautiful shade of blue that I love.
For these nails I used two coats of Barry M White for the base on all of my nails. I then added one thick coat of Barry M Jewel Britannia, which has become my new favorite glitter polish :P I then topped this off with two thin coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! to create a nice subtle finish :)
I know these aren't the most original nails for the theme but I was really struggling! :p Plus I think that this is still a cute way to wear glitter without it being too in your face. I'm really looking forward to wearing more autumn colours in the coming months as you'll see in a few of the challenge posts I have lined up for you all :)

Fall Into Autumn Challenge - Apples

Hello everyone!
Today I have this weeks Fall Into Autumn Challenge post! This weeks theme was apples, after seeing everyone's interpretation I came up with something I'm happy with that I think is creative :) I decided to base my nail art around what I think of when I think of apples...
I decided I wanted to create apples on the tips of my nails and I wanted to add a cute little bug onto one of my nails too :P My ring finger is to symbolize autumn leaves falling from trees, I really love the colours of the glitter!
For the base colour of the green apples I used two coats of OPI Don't Mess with OPI, for the red apple I used two coats of China Glaze Poinsettia. For the stalks of the apples I used one coat of China Glaze Mahogany Magic, and two coats of Wet N Wild Toss Me A Lifesavers for the leaves. I used two coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon on the ring finger but the glitter on top is so dense you can't see it :P (review on this glitter coming soon!)
I really love how these turned out, I especially love my ring finger. The colours of the glitter just remind me of fall and harvest time, super pretty! I'm really enjoying this challenge so far and I have so many ideas for the upcoming themes. I hope you're all enjoying the challenge as much as me!

Fall Into Autumn Challenge!

Hello everyone!
Today I have the first post from the new seasonal challenge. This one is titled the Fall Into Autumn Challenge! Without a doubt this is going to be my favourite challenge is it includes school and halloween and all things fall :) So here's a look at all the themes included in this challenge...
So the first theme in this challenge was Back to School. I had an idea in mind from the moment I set eyes on this theme, here's what I came up with...
I decided to do crayon nails! When I was still at school I always used to buy big oxes of crayons to use to colour with, I had to have the biggest and best because that's the way I was :P I still do the same thing now I'm at university ut it's coloured pens instead of crayons :P
For these nails I used lots of different coloured polishes! For the bases of the crayons I used pastel colours (L-R) OPI Pink Friday, OPI What's With The Cattitude, NYC Hint Of Mint and OPI In MY Back Pocket. On top of these colours I used slightly brighter colours to create the actual crayon tip with a small art brush (L-R) Jesse's Girl Cupcake Frosting, Jesse's Girl Girls Night Out, Color Club Twiggie and Color Club Wham! Pow! I then used my Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black to create the black lines. I also used a small brush and acetone to remove some of the base colour around the crayon to allow my natural nail to show through.
I am so impressed with these, I never thought they would turn out as well as they did, I want to use so many different colours to create more of these now! :P I'm really looking forward to the rest of this challenge, there are lots of themes that are quite broad so I can be pretty creative. Keep an eye out for some more posts from me soon! :)

Thanks for reading :)
