Fall Into Autumn Challenge - Apples

Hello everyone!
Today I have this weeks Fall Into Autumn Challenge post! This weeks theme was apples, after seeing everyone's interpretation I came up with something I'm happy with that I think is creative :) I decided to base my nail art around what I think of when I think of apples...
I decided I wanted to create apples on the tips of my nails and I wanted to add a cute little bug onto one of my nails too :P My ring finger is to symbolize autumn leaves falling from trees, I really love the colours of the glitter!
For the base colour of the green apples I used two coats of OPI Don't Mess with OPI, for the red apple I used two coats of China Glaze Poinsettia. For the stalks of the apples I used one coat of China Glaze Mahogany Magic, and two coats of Wet N Wild Toss Me A Lifesavers for the leaves. I used two coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon on the ring finger but the glitter on top is so dense you can't see it :P (review on this glitter coming soon!)
I really love how these turned out, I especially love my ring finger. The colours of the glitter just remind me of fall and harvest time, super pretty! I'm really enjoying this challenge so far and I have so many ideas for the upcoming themes. I hope you're all enjoying the challenge as much as me!

KKCenterHK Microbeads Review

Hello everyone!
Today I have a review for another product I was sent from KKCenterHK. I've wanted to try the microbead/caviar trend for a while now but didn't really know where to get the supplies, so I choose some to review when I was approached by this company. I choose a beautiful seafoam green colour and wanted to co-ordinate them with my polish colour, you can buy the micro beads from the following link - http://www.kkcenterhk.com/p8422/N.NAIL-Microbeads-Decorations-Nails-Art-Grass-Green-DRN382/product_info.html
For these nails I used two coats of OPI Mermaids Tears for the base on all my nails. For the accent nail I applied a layer of topcoat over my base polish and then dipped my finger into a small pot filled with the micro beads. I then lightly pressed down to make sure all the beads were stuck on securely, removed beads that were stuck to my fingers and then added a layer of topcoat. The whole process took around a minute I'd say, very quick! :)
I really love how the base colour and the beads matched, I think these look so pretty and elegant :) I don't think I'd be able to handle the eads on all of my nails though. I think as an accent nail these add a cute but different look that lots of people will enjoy :)

Fall Into Autumn Challenge!

Hello everyone!
Today I have the first post from the new seasonal challenge. This one is titled the Fall Into Autumn Challenge! Without a doubt this is going to be my favourite challenge is it includes school and halloween and all things fall :) So here's a look at all the themes included in this challenge...
So the first theme in this challenge was Back to School. I had an idea in mind from the moment I set eyes on this theme, here's what I came up with...
I decided to do crayon nails! When I was still at school I always used to buy big oxes of crayons to use to colour with, I had to have the biggest and best because that's the way I was :P I still do the same thing now I'm at university ut it's coloured pens instead of crayons :P
For these nails I used lots of different coloured polishes! For the bases of the crayons I used pastel colours (L-R) OPI Pink Friday, OPI What's With The Cattitude, NYC Hint Of Mint and OPI In MY Back Pocket. On top of these colours I used slightly brighter colours to create the actual crayon tip with a small art brush (L-R) Jesse's Girl Cupcake Frosting, Jesse's Girl Girls Night Out, Color Club Twiggie and Color Club Wham! Pow! I then used my Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black to create the black lines. I also used a small brush and acetone to remove some of the base colour around the crayon to allow my natural nail to show through.
I am so impressed with these, I never thought they would turn out as well as they did, I want to use so many different colours to create more of these now! :P I'm really looking forward to the rest of this challenge, there are lots of themes that are quite broad so I can be pretty creative. Keep an eye out for some more posts from me soon! :)

Thanks for reading :)
